What Hootly stores in your browser
Hootly uses your browser's local and session storage rather than its own cookies:
- Login tokens, so you stay logged in. With "Remember me" off, they disappear when you close the browser. Logging out removes them.
- Your light or dark theme choice, until you clear it.
These are necessary for the service you asked for, so they don't need your prior consent (GDPR 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Stripe
When you pay, you move to a payment page run by Stripe. Stripe can set its own cookies there for security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
How to control it
You can clear stored data or block it in your browser's settings. If you block it, you can't stay logged in.
